Senior Principal

I welcome you to the Odyssey 2024 which doubles up as the school’s communication channel.

Through this magazine, you will be able to know how the school operates, the stakeholders, the performance over the years, the progress and the school’s core values, vision and mission. As a school, we are committed to providing all-round mentorship, spiritual nourishment and academic success to our girls. The school also nurtures students with good and proper attitude and values. I would like to sincerely thank the entire staff for professionalism and commitment in building a solid foundation for the school. I thank and appreciate the parents for their moral and financial support. In the same breath, I would like to appreciate the Board of Management led by the chairperson, the members of the academic committee and the PA representatives for their continued support in ensuring the success of the school. Teaching and learning are the core activities of a school and therefore we should make good utilization of every minute of available instruction time on enhancing students learning. Great teachers are the most important ingredient to the success of our school.

Resources will be allocated to furnishing an inviting

place and environment for learning and teaching. School policies have been refined to streamline discipline which will be the source of momentum for improvement. As MK Family, we are privileged to enjoy the support from our local leaders right from the area MCA, the area Mp Hon Timothy Kipchumba, the Governor Hon Wesley Rotich and the C.S for Roads and Transport Hon Kipchumba Murkomen, OGW. We are greatly indebted to these leaders who have held our hand on many occasions when we called on them. They have been supporting us in the Charity and Conservation Runs; they also came through during the funds drive towards clearing of the remaining bus balance and ground breaking of the library complex on January 27th, 2024. On the same note, I wish to thank in a special way other leaders present during the funds drive, these are: Hon Susan Nakhumicha C.S for Health, Hon Aaron Cheruiyot Senator Kericho County, Hon David Kiplagat MP for Soy Constituency, Hon Joses Lelmengit MP Emgwen and other MCAs from Elgeiyo Marakwet. Finally, I have a lot of faith in this year’s candidates- The Indomitables– I will see to it that the girls receive the necessary support to meet their target of 8.5+. The seed of integrity has already been planted and it will be nurtured in a better way going forward.

Welcome to the Odyssey, a publication of Moi
